Hopefully Snow signs him to a Cal Clutterbuck like contract. That would be perfect.

Too funny, cpt....

I agree with your assessment, Noel. Seidenberg was at least a C+, considering his meager cap hit. He wasn't great, but he was far better than Hickey or Hamonic. I would not have any problem re-signing Seidenberg for similar money...... as a 6/7 on a cap friendly contract, he's a bargain. Pulock should be playing in place of Hickey or Pelech, not Seidenberg. Also, d-men are always getting injured, so you need plenty of depth.....

Things just don't change as far as the Islanders go. Need to play the young kids and only use the older players as depth. Snow seems to have it the other way around...

In general, I agree with you, but I guess it depends on the individuals. Sometimes the vets are useful for teaching the youngsters. A combination of vets and kids can work. The problem is we don't trust Snow's judgment as to when to bring up the kids. Pulock getting stranded in Bridgeport was a real head-scratcher.

Considering expectations, he should receive a slightly higher grade. I give him a B-.

Wasn't "his fault" he played every night.

Until the Isles show they know what a 7th dman role should be, no more Seidenberg type signings.

Yeah, just in case that backup goalie in the ECHL gets hurt.

How was the weekend, SES?

Rangers winning, Mets losing and the Jets ready to frank up another draft so no good.

Hope you had a nice weekend.

It was ok. My 6-8 year old baseball team lost a pitchers duel 11-10 Saturday afternoon. The 12-14 year old girl's softball team won 15-2 Saturday night. So, I spent pretty much the whole day out in the heat. Had a high of 96 degrees, but it felt like 106. Summer's here.

Jets will draft a 1000 QB's until they get it right. Jets and Isles should both be winning titles at this point with all the high picks they had.

Kovalchuk wants to come back to the NHL. Devils still own his rights, so we'd have to trade them something, but that might be your RW for Tavares if the Islanders are interested. He's just barely over the hill, but if he could just be the trigger-man on the PP and pot 25g I think it would be worth it.

Well if we acquired his rights he wouldn't have a choice. I'd pay extra if we were allowed to speak with his agent and gauge his interest first, rather than just trade something and hope he would come here knowing he had to play for us.

Just because he went elsewhere the first time around doesn't mean things aren't different now.
